 The Woman and the Dragon

Revalation 12:1-4

1. A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.
2. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.
3.  Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten hornsand seven crowns on its heads.
4. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.   

Interpretation :

• Woman is Israel coz she has 12 stars in her crown symbolising 12 tribes.

• Pregnant with pains symbolises the time of slavery under roman government.

• Child is christ coz he will reign with shaft of the Rod.

• 7 headed Dragon waiting from since the birth of christ until resurrection to devour him.

• After resurrection, Israel was in wilderness.

• One head of the is probably Herod, one head may be Hitler chasing Israel in the wilderness.

• The advent of second coming is probably at event of the authority transfer between the "Beast of the sea" to the "Beast of the Earth "
